Jackie is a living success story. Having an extensive history of lived experience, Jackie tirelessly gives back to others who are searching for positive change in their lives. It’s not hard to see the passion Jackie has for supporting others in any way she can. When you ask her, why…? “I’m just giving back what was freely given to me” she says.

Jackie has spent the last 12 plus years in the Mental Health and Addictions sector, learning, sharing and strengthening her skills and knowledge at both a professional and personal level.

On top of her vast experience, Jackie has a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science (University of Auckland) and holds a current registration with DAPAANZ (Drug and Alcohol Practitioners Association Aotearoa–New Zealand) as an Accredited Supervisor and Addiction and Gambling Practitioner.

Jackie is excited about walking alongside whānau and believes in the potential that sports, recreation and cultural spaces have in supporting whānau towards achieving their dreams and aspirations.
